USS Wichita Sets Sail from Florida to Join Arctic Exercise with Allied Navies
Defense Technology — The littoral combat ship USS Wichita left its homeport at Naval Station Mayport on Aug. 7 to take part in Operation NANOOK TUUGAALIK 2026, the maritime portion of Canada's flagship Arctic military exercise. Wichita is a Freedom-variant vessel, designated LCS 13.

During the deployment, Wichita will operate side by side with naval forces from Canada, Denmark, and France.
